What happens if the balloons burst?
Resilient weave Balloon couture is surprisingly resilient. Each balloon is individually woven. If one pops, it only leaves a small gap, you won’t suddenly lose the whole dress. When we attend the event with you, we will quickly repair it.
How long will a balloon dress last?
A balloon dress is made for a single event and is expected to last the day, though depending on temperature it can last up to a week, but will shrink in size. After the event the dress continues to deflate and eventually becomes a miniature version, a keepsake, creating a lasting memory of the event.
Can I sit down in the dress?
It depends on the design. Balloons are rigid compared to fabric, so some dresses may rise at the front when you sit. However, because of the weight distribution across the bubbles, they are generally suitable for sitting in. This can be discussed at the design stage.
Am I free to move around in the dress?
Generally yes, though some designs may limit movement, similar to slim fabric dresses.
Do balloon dresses make noise?
Yes, they may squeak or creak as balloons rub together, but it’s usually masked by event noise.
Can you match my corporate colours?
We stock multiple shades of common colours but exact Pantone matches aren’t possible.
Can you make a matching suit?
It’s possible but generally not recommended for comfort reasons.
How do I remove the dress?
We create a seam at the back to get you in and out, but we can weave in a zipper or create a lace-up so you can take it on and off without needing the designer present.
What happens to the dress after the event?
It deflates naturally, often becoming a miniature version that clients like to keep as a keepsake.
Do you travel for an event?
Yes, we’re based in the UK and available for bookings both nationally and internationally. Travel costs are quoted individually.
